at the Original Railway bridge over
the River Godaveri at Kovvur-Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. This bridge
was built in 1893 and was set for demolition in 1996. On petitions and
appeals of Dr. Pullarao, the demolition
was stopped. A campaign is going on to preserve the Original Railway bridge
,built by the British , as a Heritage
bridge.
