Pentapati Pullarao was the Chief Guest at the State meeting and Conference of the Andhra Pradesh Medara Sangh. This organisation works exclusively for the upliftment of the 7 –lakh strong MEDARA communtiy whoare totally forst-dependent. Their demands include declaring them as Sch. Tribes and also providing them a regualrly supply of bamboo for their livelihood.

This camp helped thousands of people to get equipment and aids to better their lives. The Director of the NIOH ( Kolkata ) and numerous experts participated in this 3-day camp.
Pentapati Pullarao, noted economist, talking with Supreme Court Justice Shri S. Patil at the Indian Society of International law, New Delhi. Pentapati Pullarao had requested the Hon. Justice to take note of the severe problems of the evacuees from the Kuwait war who had lost their belongings. Pentapati Pullarao also requested the Hon. Justice to help get back Indian fishermen who were captured by Pakistan and were languishing in their jails for years together.
